The questions buyers ask on every call, answered.
Yes, Aqueduct acts: it routes the fix into your CMMS, adjusts setpoints where control is enabled, and verifies the result at the meter. Below are short answers to everything else, in the same words our team uses.

The basics
Aqueduct is facilities and infrastructure intelligence that acts, then verifies. For operators of facilities and infrastructure, it can replace or connect the BMS, BAS, EMS and water systems they run, turn their data into actions, and verify every saving at the meter.
Milvian AI. Milvian AI is a product company. Partners deliver installation and facility services.
It is not just another one of those. It overlaps with each category and combines them: it can replace a BMS, BAS or EMS, it integrates with your CMMS, it uses IoT to sense and actuate, and it uses AI as the method for delivering outcomes.
Four, with equal weight. Water intelligence: find every leak and loss, fix it, prove it. Energy efficiency: cut waste and demand, verified at the meter. Healthy air: hit air targets without burning energy. Facility operations: faults fixed, failures prevented.
No. It covers buildings, campuses, plants and airports, and the water and energy networks that feed them. Infrastructure is in scope from page one.
Does it act?
We act, and the meter verifies it worked. Every use case runs the same flywheel: Monitor, Measure, Identify, Act, Verify. Seeing a problem is only part of it.
Aqueduct routes a ticket into your CMMS with a recommended fix. Where control is enabled, it adjusts setpoints and schedules. It does not take control without owner approval.
At the meter. After the fix, the meter confirms that the loss stopped or the load dropped, against a baseline modeled before the claim. We do not estimate savings we cannot measure. Every verified result becomes the new baseline.
Fault detection and diagnostics is reactive: something has failed, and we detect it, diagnose the cause and get it fixed. Predictive maintenance is proactive: early signs of wear are caught so maintenance happens before the fault. They are not interchangeable terms.
Your existing systems
No. There are three equal ways in. Keep your BMS and Aqueduct works across it. Replace your BMS when controls have aged out. Or build it in at design stage for new construction.
Yes. Aqueduct can fully take over those categories, along with water management and indoor air quality, or work with what you have.
No. Aqueduct integrates with your CMMS. It sends tickets in and reads verified closure back. Your CMMS manages technicians, inventory and work orders.
No. Aqueduct works alongside your SCADA, AMI and historians. It reads network data; control stays with SCADA.
Yes. It can be specified at design stage with architects and MEP engineers, so the new building runs itself from day one.
Hardware and installation
No. We don't make sensors and we don't sell hardware as our core business. We use IoT to sense and actuate, starting with the meters, sensors and BMS points you already have.
Third-party installation partners. Milvian AI does not install hardware itself and does not provide facility staff or O&M contracts.
No. Aqueduct connects existing meters, sensors and equipment first, and adds sensing only where the site is blind.
Data, AI and security
In the cloud in your region, or on your own site. For sites that cannot send data out, Aqueduct deploys on-prem AI on NVIDIA infrastructure.
As the method, not the product. Aqueduct is an AI-native platform with one objective: driving outcomes. For every claim we name the problem, the action and the proof.
Milvian AI is a member of the NVIDIA Inception program, and Aqueduct runs on-prem AI on NVIDIA infrastructure.
A way to ask the building a question. Ask which site, zone or asset changed, and it answers with the evidence attached.
Sustainability and reporting
No. We provide the metrics your reports and certifications need: verified energy, water and air numbers. Reporting is an output of the Verify step. You, or your reporting tool, file them.
The metered inputs behind energy and water standards, air quality standards, and carbon and ESG disclosures. See the glossary and regulations hub for each one and what Aqueduct supplies.
Proof and getting started
In 275+ sites across 21 countries, including a hospital chain with 22 hospitals and 9 clinics, a commercial real estate client with a 20M+ sq ft portfolio, and major dairy operations. Every saving is verified at the meter against a weather-normalized baseline.
Schedule a demo, or schedule a free site survey. Bring your meter data: we baseline one site, find the first loss, and show you the verified result.
Yes. System integrators, MEP firms and facility services can specify Aqueduct, install around it and deliver it to their clients, in existing sites and new builds.
Straight answers to what buyers ask: does it act, and how is it proven.
From finding to fix, with the owner in charge
- Routes to your CMMS
Findings arrive as tickets with a recommended fix, and your team manages the work in your CMMS.
- Control where approved
Where control is enabled, with owner approval, setpoints and schedules change through relays or field devices.
- Verified at the meter
Every action is checked against the baseline in metered data before the result is reported.

Keep, replace or build in, alongside what you run
- BMS and BAS
Aqueduct reads BMS and BAS points over BACnet or Modbus, or replaces them where they have aged out.
- SCADA stays in charge
At utilities, Aqueduct reads network data alongside SCADA, and SCADA keeps control of the network.
- Hardware through partners
We do not sell hardware as our core business, and installation partners fit what is needed.

Where data lives and what the numbers support
- Cloud or on premises
Run Aqueduct in the cloud or on site, with AI on NVIDIA infrastructure where data cannot leave.
- Metrics, not filings
Aqueduct supplies the verified metrics your reports and certifications need, and your team files them.
- Day one baselines
Uploading 6 to 12 months of utility bills gives performance results before monitoring has run long.

What buyers worry about, and what actually happens
- Another platform that shows problems and stops there.
- Adopting it means ripping out a working BMS.
- Software will take control of equipment without asking.
- Results will take a year of monitoring to appear.
- Savings will be estimates that nobody can verify.
The Aqueduct way- Findings route to a fix, and the meter confirms it.
- Keep the BMS that works, and replace only what aged out.
- Control runs only where enabled and only with owner approval.
- Uploaded utility bills give a baseline on day one.
- Every saving is measured at the meter against a baseline.

A good answer to a hard question is worth more than any feature list.
